Apple Cider Vinegar to Help with Weight Loss when Intermittent Fasting

Apple Cider VinegarYou may have heard about the health benefits apple cider vinegar (ACV) already.

It’s pretty well known as a ‘miracle cure’ for everything from skin blemishes, cleaning tough stains and whitening teeth. But what it’s most renowned for, is helping the body to alkalise and to detox which is needed for healthy weight loss.

How does it do this?

Regulates pH levels

You wouldn’t think it, but drinking the acidic tasting ACV actually helps to keep your body to become more alkaline. Like drinking water with some lemon, ACV-water encourages alkalinity once digested. It also helps to stimulate stomach acid, which helps with the digestion process.

If our body’s pH levels are out of balance, it can cause an array of modern diseases as well as weight gain as a protective mechanism. So proper pH balance is extremely important.

Balances blood sugar levels

ACV is high in acetic acid, which has been shown to slow the digestion of carbohydrates. Especially after carb-heavy meals, this keeps blood sugar from spiking too dramatically.

Breaks down fats

Consuming small amounts of ACV daily can assist your body in breaking down fats instead of storing them (which it will tend to do to protect your body from toxins).

It helps to boost your metabolism and weight loss by regulating your appetite,  assisting to let go of excess water, and stimulating the metabolism by having improved nutrient and mineral absorption.

Overall, ACV simply helps with more efficient digestion; maintaining healthy stomach acids and burning up stored fats while storing essential vitamins and minerals. Sounds pretty good right?

The Mother

Drink ACV‘The Mother’ is a bundle of living enzymes and friendly bacteria found in only raw, unfiltered vinegars. With anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, the mother of vinegar is an immune system super-booster.

It assists the lymph system to filter out toxins while boosting your immunity against unwanted invaders. It has also been used successfully on foot fungus, warts, inflamed acne, and even arthritis. Just make sure to shake the bottle of ACV before you use it to disperse all of the healing goodies evenly.

So what do you have to do? Simply drink 2 tablespoons in a tall glass of water twice a day and reap all of these benefits.

If you really can’t bring yourself to drink diluted vinegar (which I admit does sound kind of gross), apple cider vinegar can be added to your salads in the form of homemade salad dressings.
