Iced tea with Lemon


Ingredients

  • 3 tea bags (good quality Black Tea, Orange Pekoe or try a Green Tea or any other of your favourite teas)
  • 4 cups of water
  • 3-4 units of Stevia powder (or to taste)
  • Half a lemon thinly sliced

 

 

Instructions

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Once boiling remove from heat and add the tea bags. Cover for 5 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and pour the tea into a heat-proof glass jug. While tea is still hot, add the Stevia and stir.
Add the slices of lemon slices and place the jug in the refrigerator.

Refrigerate until cool and then serve over ice.
This recipe makes a small batch, so if you really like iced tea, I recommend doubling the recipe. You can always make these recipes ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Zero Calorie Iced Green Tea

Green tea is full of antioxidants and believe it or not makes delicious iced tea.

Ingredients:

  • Green tea bags (try some exciting flavors raspberry or lime)
  • Water (preferably filtered or spring water)
  • Ice cubes
  • Stevia

 

Directions:

It’s important to gently brew your green tea so you won’t lose it’s great benefits.

Slowly heat up water on a stove by using medium to low heat. Once the water is luke warm, place the tea bags in and remove from the heat. You should be able to see the water turning into green tea instantly. If not, just turn up the heat just a little bit more.
Let it cool.
Pour into a jug with lots of ice cubes.

Enjoy by itself or lightly sweeten with Stevia.

Green Jasmine Mint Iced Tea with Lemon

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup loose green jasmine tea or 12 green jasmine tea bags
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (both for the tea and the garnish)
  • Water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Stevia

Experiment with Tea Flavours:

  • Cherry Vanilla Tea (using cherry tea bags and vanilla tea bags)
  • Citrus Iced Tea (using lemon tea bags and orange pekoe tea bags)
  • Hibiscus and Pomegranate Iced Tea
  • Orange and Earl Grey Iced Tea
